Jeff Cole became the 'Roos women's soccer assistant coach in March of 2015.

A McPherson College graduate, Cole has been a member of the UMKC coaching staff since 2013 as a volunteer assistant and goalkeeper coach. Under Cole, goalkeeper Nina Tzianos enjoyed the best individual season in program history in 2014, setting school records for goals against (17), goals against average (.84), saves (97), save percentage (.851), wins (13), and shutouts (8).

Cole began his career as a men's assistant coach at McPherson in 1997-'98. In October of 1997, he joined the Wichita Wings, where he served as a developmental player, team manager, and head of gameday operations until 2001.

Cole spent 14 years as a staff coach with the River City Soccer Club, three years as a staff coach with U.S. Youth Soccer Region II, and two years as the women's assistant at Hutchinson Community College where he helped lead the team to back-to-back KJCAA Conference Championships with an undefeated conference mark (12-0) and a 21-1 overall record in 2010. That team won the Region VI Championship and made the NJCAA District Finals.

Currently, Cole is the Boys Director of Coaching/Youth Academy Director for KC Select Soccer Club and a staff coach with the Kansas Olympic Development Program.

Cole holds the following licenses: USSF National "A" Coaching License, USSF National Goalkeepers License, USSF National "B" Coaching License, NSCAA Advanced National License, NSCAA National License, and a NSCAA State Diploma.

Hanna Kallmaier joins the Roos for the 2017 season as a graduate assistant coach after a successful standout career at Kansas.

2016 (SENIOR)
Team Captain … Named to the All-Big 12 Second Team … Started in each of the Jayhawks’ 21 matches … Logged a career-high 1,671 points for 79.6 min/game … Posted multiple shots in six outings and tallied at least one shot in all but nine of for 21 appearances … Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team … Posted season-high 103 minutes and two shots in the Jayhawks’ 2-2 draw at Oklahoma (10/21).

Team Captain ... Appeared in all 21 games and started each of the final 17 matches … Averaged more than 84 minutes per game in the17 matches in which she started … Tallied the second assist of her career in KU’s 4-0 win at Iowa State (10/4) … Tallied five shots over the final three matches of the year … Posted a trio of outings with a career-high three shots, which propelled her to a career-high 19 shots on the year … Twice logged a career-high 110 minutes in the matches against Baylor (10/9) and TCU (10/30) … Earned the Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award … Named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team.

2014 (JUNIOR)
Forced to utilize redshirt season after injury sidelined her for the year.

Academic All-Big 12 First Team ... Set a single-game high with one point and assist against Arizona (9/6) ... Recorded four shots on goal and the second-most accurate shots on goal percentage on the team (44%) ... Played in all 20 matches for the Jayhawks.

Notched time as a key midfield reserve in her debut season with KU, averaging 41 minutes in 10 appearances and three starts ... Kansas went 8-1-1 and outscored opponents 27-8 in games in which she tallied minutes ... Posted a season-high two shots in KU’s 2-0 win over UNLV (8/26) ... Saw one shot on goal in 2012, a strike on frame in the Jayhawks’ 3-2 win over NC State (9/9) ... Started first game of her career versus Missouri State (9/7), a 4-1 KU win ... Logged a season-high 79 minutes versus NC State (9/9) ... Named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.

National TEAM Experience
Four-year member of the German Youth National Team ... Member of Germany’s U-17 National Team that finished third at the 2011 U-17 European Women’s Championship.
